"What a dazzling night!"

said Van Gogh,

feeling his heart ablaze

as the stars burned

with force and fury.

The night, tumultuous and searing,

plunged into his paintbrush

and never let him sleep again.

Even the sky did not know

it could be so merciless.

The night birds fell silent,

and life exacted its price
